Breaking Benjamin are back, and they’re launching into a fresh era with a delightfully brooding new single.
Titled ‘Something Wicked’, the hard rock giants’ latest track is a masterclass in atmospheric tension. Dialling into the band’s signature blend of raw introspection and crushing intensity, it moves from a gorgeously haunting opening to a powerful crescendo, serving as an explosive introduction to Breaking Benjamin’s forthcoming full-length.
Speaking on the track, frontman Benjamin Burnley has shared:
“‘Something Wicked’ is a quick look into our influences both musically and thematically. We challenged ourselves especially hard on this record and on this song. We pushed every boundary we’ve previously had as far as it will go, then pushed a little more. ‘Something Wicked’ was the result.”
This summer, Breaking Benjamin will return to the UK and Europe for their first overseas shows since 2017, with support from Chevelle and Return To Dust.
